How the Board of Directors Differs from Committees:
The Board of Directors is responsible for high-level governance and strategic oversight, while committees focus on specific operational areas of the organization. The board makes long-term decisions and ensures the overall direction of NMYR, whereas committees are more hands-on, carrying out the day-to-day work required to achieve the board’s strategic goals. While the board provides oversight and final decision-making authority, committees are responsible for implementing specific initiatives, managing programs, and reporting back to the board on progress.
